The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints builds special houses of worship all around the world known as temples. These structures are not where members attend their Sunday services, but where they can come to engage in sacred ordinances and make covenants that strengthen their relationship with God.
The church teaches that it is in temples that families can be united, or sealed, for time and eternity. Marriage in the temple is not “until death do us part,” but can last forever.
